How We Handle Your Data
We respect your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you book or browse, why, and what control you have over it.

When you make a booking we collect your name, email, phone number, country, payment information (handled by Stripe β we never see your card number), and your stay details. When you browse we collect minimal analytics (page visits, language preference) stored in your browser.
Booking data is used solely to process and manage your reservation, send confirmations and reminders, and meet our legal obligations as a Japanese accommodation provider. We do not sell or share your personal data for marketing.
We rely on Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), and Supabase (database hosting). Each is contractually bound to protect your data and uses it only to deliver their service to us.
Booking records are retained for as long as required by Japanese tax and hospitality regulations (typically 7 years). Marketing or analytics data is retained for no longer than 24 months.
You can request a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct it, or request deletion (subject to legal retention requirements) at any time by contacting privacy@sakurasands.com.
We use a small amount of local storage to remember your language preference. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
